What the client can expect from us:
- Recommendations and objective analysis in the context of your overall situation. No recommendations will be made in isolation or without understanding the full impact on your financial goals and objectives.
- Investment recommendations made in the context of your overall plan and stated tolerance for risk. No attempt will be made to “time the market” or engage in tactical asset allocation.
- Recognition that all financial decisions ultimately rest with our client and that our client needs to understand the basis for any recommendations. We will therefore provide our client with as much information and education as they want about a particular recommendation or aspect of their plan.
- Communication of investment recommendations with sufficient time to respond to questions.
- Ongoing commitment to goals and periodic reminders about these goals and revisions.
- A willingness to work with accountants, attorneys and other professionals our client retains and authorizes us to do so. We do not prepare tax returns or legal documents but can refer you to professionals who do.
- Adherence to privacy and a commitment to never release information except to carry out a financial transaction on your behalf or if required by law in conjunction with a legal proceeding, regulatory action or with our client’s permission.
- In the case of married clients, a commitment to joint representation and full disclosure to both parties of all information and recommendations.
- Willingness to listen and really learn what clients want and need.
- Recognition that client relationships take time to develop and mature. If after an appropriate amount of time it becomes necessary to make an assessment about whether to terminate a client relationship, we will do so in an open and objective manner.
