Treven L. Ayers, Portfolio Manager

Treven L. Ayers joined the firm in 1999 as an Investment Analyst and is also one of our Portfolio Managers.  Prior to Rinehart & Associates, Treven managed both individual and institutional portfolios for Professional Financial Services. 

Treven received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Economics from the University of South Carolina.  He holds the Certified Fund Specialist (CFS) designation and is also a Certified Financial Planner™ Certificant.

Treven, his wife Julie and 5 year-old son Ryan have lived in Charlotte, NC since 1999.   A native of New Jersey, he and his family truly enjoy the South!  They enjoy cooking, traveling, entertaining and both are avid college and NFL fans.

Mary C. Rinehart, CEO & Chief Investment Officer

Mary started the firm as First Personal Financial Services Inc. in 1985 and later changed the name to Rinehart & Associates. She received her undergraduate degree in European History from Sweet Briar College in 1961 and took additional business courses at Queens University in the 70’s. She has been a Certified Financial Planner™ Certificant since 1988. She has served as President of the local chapter of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners (ICEP). She is a Registered Advisor of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and is a Registered Investment Advisor with the Federal Securities and Exchange Commission.

Kristen Shields recently joined Rinehart & Associates as an Investment Analyst. She graduated from Davidson College this past May where she earned her degree in Art History with a minor in Economics.  During her time at Davidson, Kristen played an active role in her school's community as a member of Warner Eating House and as co-captain of the Women’s Varsity Swim Team.

A far way from her original home in Massachusetts, Kristen currently resides just outside uptown Charlotte where she is enjoying all that the city has to offer.
